  • What does this cost me?

  • Does switching interrupt my power?

    No. Your utility updates a record and your service continues without interruption. Same poles, same wires, same reliability. Nobody visits your property.

  • What if I'm in a contract right now?

    Send a bill anyway. We note your contract end date and run the supplier auction before renewal, so you never roll onto a worse rate.

  • Nothing, ever. Brokers are paid a small, disclosed fee by the energy supplier, the same way an insurance agent is paid by the carrier. There is no scenario where you receive a bill from Aven Energy.

  • You approve a plan, the new supplier notifies your utility electronically, and the utility updates one database record. No truck, no visit, no interruption. Your lights won't flicker for even one second. The new rate shows up within one or two billing cycles.

  • No. Reliability belongs to your utility, the company that owns the poles and wires. They deliver your power and fix outages no matter whose name is on your bill. Every provider's electricity rides the same grid.

  • Tell us the end date. Early-termination fees usually erase year-one savings, so we'll diary your renewal window and shop the market before your current provider auto-renews you onto a worse rate. That timing is where most of the money is.

  • A signed Letter of Authorization lets us pull your usage history and request pricing on your behalf. It's revocable in writing at any time, and it never obligates you to accept any offer.

  • A PUCT-licensed Texas brokerage built on institutional procurement software. It is the same supplier-competition tooling used for Fortune 500 energy accounts, put to work for Texas businesses, schools and districts, industrial facilities, and multi-family properties.

  • Power to Choose is the state's shopping site for homes. It lists residential teaser plans and leaves the fine print to you. We work commercial and multi-family accounts: suppliers bid on your actual usage profile, a licensed broker reads the contract terms, and you see the offers side by side with a recommendation.

  • No. Providers sell the electricity. We never sell power. We make providers compete for your account and negotiate the terms. Your bill still comes from the supplier you choose, delivered by the same utility as always.

  • Both. We quote commercial electricity and natural gas, and many clients bid out both at once so the contract end dates line up.

  • A fixed rate locks your price per kilowatt hour for the whole term, so a volatile market cannot move your budget. Most small and mid-size businesses prefer that certainty. Index and hybrid products exist too, and if your load profile actually favors one, we will show you the math instead of defaulting you into it.

  • Yes, that is one of our favorite problems. We put every meter on one strategy, align the contract end dates, and price the whole portfolio at once. Franchise groups and property managers get one calendar instead of fifty.

  • The deregulated territories: Oncor around Dallas Fort Worth, CenterPoint around Houston, AEP Texas, and TNMP. If your address is served by a municipal utility or co-op, like Austin Energy or CPS Energy in San Antonio, deregulation does not apply there and we will tell you straight away.

  • About 60 seconds to send us a bill. Bids usually come back within a few business days. The switch itself happens at your contract end date or the next available window, with no interruption to your service.

  • Earlier than most people think. Suppliers price contracts that start months in the future, so you can lock a rate well before your current one ends and catch a market dip. We track your renewal window so the deadline never sneaks up on you.

  • Yes. Apartment communities, student housing, condo and HOA common areas, and master metered buildings are all quotable under our multi-family practice. One bill from any property starts the rate check.
